The Malbunka Copper mine is situated roughly 240km East of Alice Springs in the heart of the
Northern Territory of Australia. The Azurite Suns are formed in a white Kaolinite matrix,
with large tectonic events responsible for dewatering salt and sediment deposits deep within the
admaeus basin, forcing copper rich fluids at extremely high pressure into the kaolinite lense
resulting in beautiful cobalt blue azurite suns. They range from 1cm-30cm in diameter.
This deposit is believed to be one of only a few primary copper ore locations globally.
